New Song Community Church at 2858 Hafenrichter Road in Aurora will welcome its new pastor, the Rev. Angel Morales, during a special installation service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6.
Morales will be installed by the Rev. Ray Krueger, representing the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
Morales graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2014 and recently served as associate pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurora, New Song officials said. He lives in Aurora with his wife, Maria, and their children.
New Song Community Church is also planning to add a second worship service on Sunday mornings which will be a Spanish-speaking service, church officials said.
