On Thursday, March 31, Saturday, April 2, and Thursday, April 7, if you buy a full price ticket ($25) to Oak Park Festival Theatre's production of Brian Friel's "Faith Healer," the theatre will donate $5 to the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry. Any patron who buys a full price ticket and mentions the food pantry will have $5 donated from the price of their ticket.

The performances of Friel's haunting, lyrical play take place in the studio theatre space at the Madison Street Theatre (formerly Village Players) at 1010 W. Madison in Oak Park. Thursday through Saturday the performance is at 8:00. Sunday shows are at 5:00. "Faith Healer" runs through April 16. The donation offer is only good on the three dates above and is not good on discounted tickets.

Oak Park Festival Theatre likes to form partnerships with community agencies. For several years, they have done a joint fundraiser with the Walk-In Ministry in the late fall. They hope to do a larger fundraiser for the Food Pantry in the summer during the runs of "The History of King Henry the Fourth" and "Henry V" in Austin Gardens this summer.

Co-President of OPFT, Belinda Bremner, is a regular Food Pantry volunteer and suggested the upcoming Food Pantry fundraiser. The idea was enthusiastically embraced by all parties.

So, do a little something for yourself and see this not-to-be missed, critically acclaimed play. And, at the same time, do something to help feed people in your community who need a little extra help.
