Residents with disabilities invited to discuss how to improve access to services, information

If you are an Oak Parker with a disability, the Universal Access Commission (UAC) wants to hear your ideas on how to make community services and information more accessible.

The UAC, citizen volunteers who advises the Village Board on policies to help improve access throughout the community, will host a forum at 7 p.m., Fri., Sept. 17, at Pilgrim Church, 460 Lake St.

“The goal of forum is to hear ideas firsthand from individual residents with disabilities,” said UAC Chair Adam Salzman. “Who better to help us understand what improvements need to be made in the availability of useful services and information than those individuals who face these challenges every day?”

Registration is not required. For more information, call 708.358.5430 or e-mail building@oak-park.us.
