Nominations are being sought for Green Awards, a program created by the Environmental & Energy Advisory Commission to recognize specific deeds or actions that embody and advance work toward a sustainable future.
Nominations may be submitted by anyone on behalf of anyone. A nomination form is posted at www.oak-park.us/environment and must be received by Sept. 30.
“The EEAC Green Awards offer a great opportunity for the Village to recognize any individual or group that has demonstrated leadership and ingenuity to help make Oak Park an earth-friendly community to live in,” said Commission Chair Michele Gurgas.
“We hope everyone will take the time to look at their neighbors and think ‘Who is doing the newest cool green thing out there?’, and then promote them and their green ideas by nominating them for a Green Award.”
For more information on the award or the commission, call 708.358.5700 or e-mail publicworks@oak-park.us.
