The Oak Park Teacher Assistants’ Association (OPTAA) recently donated a variety of supplies (notebooks, crayons, paper, pencils, markers, etc.) to the Hephzibah Children’s Association to help ensure that the children served by the organization have what they need to start the 2010-2011 school year. The OPTAA is comprised of approximately 100 teaching assistants who work primarily with students who have special needs. Its members hope to make this donation to Hephzibah an annual tradition, and look forward to partnering with other organizations that benefit the local community.
