Lively Yiddish Songs and Stories Honor Maurice Sendak

The Mameloshn Yiddish Folk Singers from Oak Park Temple joined local actors Belinda Bremner and Jerry Bloom in celebrating the Yiddish/Jewish heritage of Maurice Sendak at the Oak Park Public Library on Sunday afternoon. The Library has hosted the national traveling exhibit, "In a Nutshell: The Worlds of Maurice Sendak" since October. The exhibit will close on Friday, Dec. 16.

Michael Bass, head of Mameloshn Yiddish Folk Singers, and Belinda Bremner, co-president of Festival Theatre, organized the event.
