MUNDELEIN
POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Anfernee Dion Lopez, of North Chicago, was charged July 14, with possession of a controlled substance. Lopez was stopped for speeding and during the stop, Lopez was found to be in possession of ecstasy. Lopez has a court date scheduled in Waukegan.
DUI
Scott P. Gavin, of Lake Zurich, was charged June 14, with driving under the influence. Officers were called to the area for a crash. They stopped Gavin for a traffic violation and found him to be intoxicated. Officers learned Gavin was involved in the traffic crash and fled from the scene. Gavin has a court date scheduled in Mundelein.
Jose Antonio Pina Calderon, of Grayslake, was charged July 9, with driving under the influence. Pina Calderon was stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop, he was found to be intoxicated. He was also driving an uninsured motor vehicle. Pina Calderon has a court date scheduled in Waukegan.
THEFT
Kandi L. Smith, of Mundelein, was charged July 9, with retail theft. Officers were notified of a retail theft and on their arrival, staff directed officers to Smith who had alcohol she did not purchase in her possession. Smith has a court date scheduled in Waukegan.
