A construction crew working at the 700 block of Clarence Avenue in Oak Park struck a gas main while working Friday morning.

Oak Park Fire Department Lieutenant Pete Pilafas said the fire department responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. Friday.

“We have personnel on scene trying to mitigate the situation,” Pilafas said. “We have crews out there, and Nicor is on their way to help.”
