The following items were taken from the Oak Park Police blotter Feb. 9:
Attempted residential burglary
An 18-year-old man, of the 0-100 block of S. Mayfield Avenue, Chicago was arrested at 2:44 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the 100 block of S. Austin Boulevard and charged with attempted residential burglary. He was issued a court date and held for bond hearings.
Residential burglary arrest
A 20-year-old man, of the 600 block of S. Humphrey Avenue, Oak Park, was arrested at 2:44 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the 200 block of S. Harvey Avenue and charged with residential burglary.
Retail theft arrest
A 29-year-ol man, of the 300 block of N. Central Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at the 200 block of Lake Street and charged with felony retail theft. He was held in lieu of bond.
Battery arrest
An 18-year-old man, of the 600 block of N. Lombard Avenue, Oak Park, turned himself in to the Oak Park Police on Feb. 6 for a battery that occurred on Feb. 1 at the 200 block of Scoville Avenue. He was processed and released on bond.
Assault arrest
Two male juveniles of Oak Park were arrested for assault at 1:05 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the 200 block of South Boulevard. They were issued a local ordinance citation and released to legal guardians.
Theft
Someone took an unattended package at the 800 block of Washington Avenue sometime between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 7. The package contained two Dell laptops, headphones, a flash drive and a lanyard. The total loss is estimated at $484.97.
Burglary
Someone used a pry type tool to gain entry to a home at the 300 block of S. Austin Boulevard sometime between 5:15 a.m. Feb. 3 and 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 6. Once inside, the offenders took cash and clothing, police reported.
Possession of cannabis arrest
A male juvenile from Oak Park was arrested at 12:04 a.m. on Feb. 7 at the 200 block of N. Scoville Avenue for possession of cannabis. He was referred to court and release to a guardian, police reported.
