The following items were taken from the Oak Park Police blotter Feb. 3:
Criminal damage to motor vehicle
Someone cut and removed a stainless steel exhaust pipe from the undercarriage of a car parked at the Holly Court Parking Garage, 1125 Ontario Street, sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. The loss is estimated at $523.
Retail theft
A 47-year-old man, of the 7800 block of S. Winchester Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 10:12 a.m. on Feb. 2 at Dominick’s Foods, 259 Lake Street, and charged with retail theft after he was seen exiting the store without paying for four packages of condoms, eight packages of beef in various cuts and 88 packages of Kool-Aid drink mix. The total value of the items was $198.79. He was issued a court date of Feb. 10.
Residential burglary
Someone climbed atop the garage of a home at the 1100 block of Greenfield Avenue between 8:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 2 and broke a window to gain entry to the home. Once inside, the offender took jewelry and a sentry lockbox containing various mementos and coins. The total loss is estimated at $2,195.
Burglary to motor vehicle
Someone entered an unlocked car parked at the 700 block of N. Taylor Avenue sometime between 7 p.m. Feb. 1 and 10 a.m. Feb. 2 and ransacked the interior. There was no reported loss.
