Cops: Parolee shot to death in Cicero home following gang dispute

A man on parole in the battery of a police officer was shot to death at his Cicero home Wednesday night following an earlier gang confrontation, a police spokesman said.

Henry Martinez, 26, of of the 2900 block of South 48th Court in the west suburb, was shot at the home Thursday night and declared dead on the scene at 11:09 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His slaying is believed to be the first gang-related slaying in Cicero in more than 18 months, said Cicero Town spokesman Ray Hanania.
