A bomb threat was found at Oak Park and River Forest High School Monday night, but school officials do not believe there is any danger.
In a notice sent out by the district, Principal Nathaniel Rouse said custodians found the message in a boy’s bathroom. Oak Park police were notified and investigated the incident, but do not believe there is a credible threat, the notice said. The message referenced Tuesday evening.
“As a precaution, buildings and grounds and safety and support team staff members have checked, and will continue to check, our building and facilities throughout daily and evening rounds,” Rouse said. “Also as a precaution, there will be an extra police presence Tuesday at the high school.”
All school activities will continue as planned.
