Sandwich shop robbed, and more

The following items were taken from Oak Park police records Nov. 19.

Armed Robbery

A man in his 20s robbed Subway, 208 W. Lake St., at about 5:57 p.m. Nov. 17. The man pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The man took $200 from the register and he fled from the seen on foot.

Battery Arrest

An 18-year-old man of the 1800 block of South Hamlin Avenue was arrested on the 5800 block of West Iowa Street in Chicago at 9:34 p.m. Nov. 16 and charged with battery after attacking an Oak Park man, who suffered minor injuries.

Burglary

A green bicycle valued at $100 was stolen from an unlocked garage on the 500 block of North Cuyler Avenue between 4 and 9 p.m. Nov. 17.

Theft Arrest

A 43-year-old man of the 8900 block of South Justice Street, Chicago, was arrested on the 700 block of South Austin Boulevard at 6:53 p.m. Nov. 15 and charged with theft for stealing an iPhone from an Oak Park woman. He was also charged with soliciting on the roadway.

Theft

A cell phone valued at $250 was stolen from a victim who was walking on the 800 block of South Oak Park Avenue at about 5 a.m. Nov. 18. A 22-year-old man grabbed the phone from the victim’s hand and fled on foot.

Two 18- to 25-year-old men stole an unknown amount of iPods and camcorders from Cash America, 6303 North Ave., at about 5:55 p.m. Nov. 17. One of the men punched out the glass on the display case, and both men grabbed the items and fled on foot.

A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle parked on the 1100 block of North Boulevard between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. Nov. 17. Loss and damage is estimated at $600.

A cell phone and medication with a total value of $175 were stolen from a locker at Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Ave., between 2:15 and 2:55 p.m. Nov. 17. The combination lock was removed by unknown means.

A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle parked on the 0-100 block of Madison Street between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 16. Loss and damage is estimated at $800.

A spare tire and cover valued at $200 were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Linden Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

Property Damage

The side and hood of a vehicle parked on the 900 block of Pleasant Street was damaged with an unknown object between 6 p.m. Nov. 15 and 11 a.m. Nov. 18. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

A rock was thrown through the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on the 1100 block of Home Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 16 and 6 a.m. Nov. 17. Damage is estimated at $500.
