DivorceIllinois Holds Meeting on Sept. 10 at Christ Church of Oak Brook

DivorceIllinois, a 10-year-old state-wide organization, is holding its next quarterly meeting on Friday, Sept. 10 at Christ Church of Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Road.

The meeting is open to members of the group, as well as to any colleagues who work in the divorce field. The session begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m., and will include a review of member case studies.

Divorce is an emotionally wrenching process for most people, and DivorceIllinois guides clients through a tangle of financial matters. These can include retirement planning, taxes, insurance, financial paperwork, qualified domestic relations orders mortgages, medical coverage and debt payments.

Comprised today of a diverse group of more than 40 divorce professionals, many of whom are financial planners, the group first formed in response to seeing many clients who had been poorly served during the divorce process and were thrust irrevocably into difficult straits.

Though it was too late to undo the damage that had already occurred, DivorceIllinois members resolved to create a network of professionals equipped to provide sound financial advice in those times when it could still serve clients.

Coffee, juice and a light breakfast will be served. Registration is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. To register, visit www.divorceillinois.org and click on Event Calendar.

For more information, please contact Peggy Tracy, DivorceIllinois president, at 630-682-8540.
