Another Realized Dream for Realtor Chris Hagn: Now Broker Owner, Prospect Equities, Elite
Schaumburg, IL--With a committed work ethic and mad-dogged determination, new Broker Owner Chris Hagn of Prospect Equities, Elite, Schaumburg, IL, has realized another life dream: the purchase of a Prospect Equities, Inc. (PE) real estate franchise. PE ranks fifth as the largest privately held real estate company in Illinois.
“I want to do more to help others achieve their goals and make their dreams come true. By helping others, I will succeed. I’ve been blessed with extensive training with top-producing realtors internationally, and I want to teach others what I know. We can all win. As a franchise owner, I can positively impact the lives of many people,” said Hagn (37) who has sold hundreds of homes in his career and is also a real estate investor.
Hagn had held the Vice President title at Prospect Equities, Inc. (PE) in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, since 2008 after he transferred his real estate broker’s license there in 2007 due to his high regard for Broker Owner Richard Killian. At seven months apart in age, the two hit it off with common interests of cars and people-centered business ethics. Plus, Hagn liked the entrepreneurial spirit and accomplishments of Killian who owns 24 companies!
After graduating highest honors with a Master Of Arts Degree in Communications and Business Administration from Governors State University, Chris started his realty career in July of 1998. Hagn worked for two other real estate brokerage firms and had opened his own office, but jumped seeing the PE opportunity.
Killian valued Hagn’s team and marketing ideas which have enabled PE to its agent number in two years. Since Hagn, PE has implemented a Customer Strategy System, Lead Management System, Call Capture System, a new website announcing these systems. Hagn also helped develop the PE franchise model which was awarded the first real estate franchise license in Illinois in August, 2010. Despite the ongoing “down turn” in the market, PE has recorded its most profitable years in 2009 and 2010. The agent-friendly, recession-proof model proves the key.
“I’ve always wanted my own real estate brokerage business, and this PE franchise is simply too good to pass up. I helped to sell the first two franchises, and now, I bought one myself: Prospect Equities Elite! My belief is complete and my purchase proves that! I can’t beat this anywhere, and I’m ready for this new journey. My four-years inside PE under the leadership of Broker Owner Rich Killian sealed the deal,” beamed Hagn.
The guy smiles often, and realized dreams have created that happy face. Hagn was studying to be a priest, but realized he wanted a family of his own more. He now proudly tells of his 11 years being happily married to his “beautiful and supportive” wife Margaret, and he bursts uncontained joy over raising 9-year-old Christian, “the best son in the world”.
Childhood heartaches including loosing his Mother primed Hagn to know what he’s got and through faith, to be ever grateful and to treasure his blessings above all else. Chris tells both his loved ones and those he serves of his care and love for them, and the good traits that he values in them. Chris takes seriously the promises he makes to others and lends a hand whenever and wherever he can.
Hagn is excited to share both his positive attitude with the agents he hires and to offer sincere and effective encouragement. He’s planning his operation to maximize success and to work out the inevitable snags. He’s out to help create “Elite” people! Hagn will adopt a charity to share in Prospect Equities, Elite profits to give back and make a difference in the world.
Hagn credits the Houston, Texas preacher Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church as a huge mentor who deeply influenced his life. He learned from Joel to take time for others and to not think only of himself.
And Hagn’s other love and realized dream? At age 6, Chris watched Liberace in concert. He told his Dad he wanted to play piano like that man. Dad gave him the opportunity to realize that dream. Today, Hagn hears a melody in his mind and plays it. He has created “Eternal Love”, a CD with his original compositions and is working on another CD of his holiday music arrangements.
“Music is the international language of the world. If I can play and make someone feel better relax through my music, I’m happy,” says Hagn with moistened eyes.
The other big piano dream come true? Hagn visited the now-closed Liberace Museum on Margaret’s August, 2009, birthday, where he talked with the curator about how Liberace was his inspiration to play. The upshot? Chris was invited to play on the gem-studded, rhinestone, very piano that Liberace had played in the concert that so moved Chris at six years old. That playing-Liberace’s-piano-pinnacle-moment Chris will never forget, nor the comments of the listeners. They exclaimed that they thought the maestro had come back to life, as Chris’s playing sounded so like the master, particularly on Exodus and The Boogie Woogie. Plus, he played “Happy Birthday” to his wife, of course!
“I would not play the piano if it was not for the love and support of my Father and the talent God has given me,” said Chris who credits his Dad’s driving him to every piano lesson. In 2004, he lost his Dad who was a Pipe Fitter to mesothelioma, a rare cancer of asbestos effects. Ironically, Killian runs an asbestos abatement company to mysteriously deepen the bond between Hagn and Killian.
“PE’s got to be the only real estate office in the world with a baby grand piano sitting in the headquarters lobby,” chuckles Hagn who loves playing at corporate events.
Per the PE business model, Prospect Equities, Elite, will offer agents a 100% commission structure and Hagn’s “Platinum Partnership Program” which Hagn is eager to implement. By proven lead conversion to appointment, to listing strategies, Hagn wants to assure that agents secure and retain buyers and sellers for life-long working relationships. Hagn sees no other companies doing this. He he cannot wait!
