Families invited to day of kid-friendly events at Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center

What:
The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center invites families to celebrate the re-launch of the newly enhanced and expanded Make a Difference! The Miller Family Youth Exhibition with an afternoon of family fun.

This kid-focused space provides a variety of hands-on activities that teach children ages 8-12 to respect differences, address bullying and take a stand on issues that matter to them. Interactive games and high-tech activities invite them to speak up, take action, and make a difference by choosing to be Upstanders instead of bystanders.

The event’s activities will include:
o Painting a mural with Chicago artist James Jankowiak that will be permanently displayed in the exhibit
o Storytelling by Nancy-Shapiro-Pikelny, reading tales of friendship, respect and community
o Theater Games with Adventure Stage Chicago

When:
Sunday, October 16
12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Free with Museum admission. To register, please call 847-967-4889 or visit www.ilholocaustmuseum.org
