The 5K kicks off at 9 a.m. on Sept. 25, with a Kids’ Race for children 11 and under starting at 10 a.m.

The early registration deadline for the PTO Council’s fifth annual race is Sept. 10. More information and online registration is available on the District 28 website, at www.northbrook28.net.  Early registration  is $20 for an individual, $30 for a family, and $5 for the Kids’ Race, and participants who register early are guaranteed a T-Shirt. New for 2010 is a family sponsorship opportunity. With any donation of $125 or more, families will receive complimentary family race registration (good for all of the members of the family), a listing in all print ads as a race sponsor, and a special sponsor gift of a custom stadium blanket.
 The HOH 5K raises money to fund college scholarships for outstanding Glenbrook North High School seniors who are also District 28 alumni. Established in 1989, the scholarship honors Dr. Homer O. Harvey, a longtime superintendent of District 28 who dedicated his professional career to providing high standards of excellence and learning for the students of District 28.
