NBJH Spirit Week Raises More Than $1,000 for "Because of Collin" Fundaising Effort

The NBJH Student Council's "Spirit Week" raised over $1,000 through concession sales at basketball games, selling "retro" spirit wear, and a change challenge competition. For that competition, the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes each collected loose change in buckets to see which class could raise the most.
The week culminated in a Spirit Assembly featuring fun games and performances by the school's band members and cheerleaders. The Student Council also announced the "Most Spirited" boy and girl for each grade level and the "Most Spirited" male and female faculty members.
The school also collected approximately $1,000 from fall activities to support the "Because of Collin" fund, which is this year's Charity of Choice. Students voted to support this fund, which is raising money for the family of a local youngster who is battling a brain tumor.
