Everybody cut Footloose! The award-winning Northbrook Theatre Children’s Company will hold auditions for “Footloose” on September 7 and September 10 from 4-6pm. The presentation of the Broadway show, based on the hit movie, has great roles for boys and girls in grades 6-10. Auditions are open to residents and non-residents and include acting, singing and dancing. For the acting audition, students receive scenes from the script, reading partners and time to rehearse. For the dance audition, they learn and perform a short routine in the style of the show. They also need a prepared song and sheet music in the proper key for piano accompaniment. Students should wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shows for dancing. Rehearsals begin on September 12, and performances are in December.
