Science Fair 2012
The St. John Brebeuf Science Fair took place on January 19th, 2012. All sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students participated in the Science Fair. The projects were outstanding. There was a total of 43 projects in all. The projects ranged from Chemistry to Physics and many in-between.

The projects were judged by the Great Lakes Naval Personnel. Many students will advance to the Regional Science Fair that will take place on March 17th at Niles North High School. This competition is for 7th Grade students and older. Projects that receive a first place award at regionals will be eligible to go to the state competition which will be held at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. on May 5th, 2012.

7th Grade: 1st Place-Stephanie Zalinski 2nd Place- Emily Zalinski, Allie Svachula and Rachel Pepin
3rd Place: Gina Brennan, Jason De Guzman, Chris Gittings, and Matthew Zalinski
6th Grade: 1st Place-Stephanie Casado, Caitlin Kelly and Alyssa Gorak 2nd Place-Francesca Bautista, Alexa Mianowski and Katie Zalesny 3rd Place- Anna Durava, Denise Gomez and Allena Healy
