A 47-year-old New Lenox has racked up three DUI charges within a 12-month period.
The most recent incident for Douglas R. Boettcher, of the 2300 block of East Lincoln Highway, occurred Nov. 26,when Frankfort police charged Boettcher with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license.
Police had pulled over Boettcher’s vehicle around 3:30 a.m. on the 1100 block of Lincoln Highway for driving without a front registration plate.
Boettcher, formerly of Frankfort, was charged Dec. 8 2010 by Will County Sheriff’s Police for driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped for driving 26-30 mph above the speed limit.
On Jan. 1 Frankfort Police curbed a vehicle driven by Boettcher at 2:55 a.m. for reckless driving, disobeying a traffic light and improper registration-plate display. That stop resulted in additional charges of DUI-alcohol and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
On April 6, Boettcher received 12 months of court supervision in exchange for his guilty pleas to the Dec. 8 DUI and the Jan. 1 reckless driving charges. The second DUI and all other related charges were dismissed.
Boettcher is scheduled to appear in Will County court Dec. 19 for a preliminary hearing on the Nov. 26 felony charge.

Maybe if they put him in prison foor about 7 tears and make him do all of that he will have time to sober up and also realize it is not worth driving drunk.
At his age though he has more than likely been driving drunk literally hundreds of times and never been caught so he figures he can get away with it again, especially if they keep ‘dropping’ DUI charges against him.
