Insiders offer advice on what to eat at Ribfest

Dan Johnson claims his Thermo-Nuclear BBQ sauce has a history that dates back to WWII. He said his father, who was serving in Patton's Army, was tasked by the general to develop a way to keep the troops warm without fire. His solution was one of the sauces Johnson served Friday from his Virginia Beach, Va.-based Johnson's BBQ tent at Ribfest. But Johnson wasn't alone in boasting about his barbecue mastery, 13 other rib vendors at Ribfest all gave recommendations based on one simple question: If a Ribfest patron was only going to get one meal, and it was from their grill, what should they choose?
