Introducing Ginger, the Dog of the Week at NAHS!

Ginger is just one of many dogs and puppies waiting for new homes at NAHS.

Ginger is just one of many dogs and puppies waiting for new homes at NAHS.

Ginger is a 2-year-old Boxer mix who came from Oklahoma with a litter of six puppies, all looking for new homes. Now that this single mom is done raising her babies, she’s ready to settle down and find a forever home of her own. She’s a boisterous, active girl who loves to snuggle, play with toys and spend time with people. Because she has a lot of extra energy, she would do best in a home with boxer experience and kids who are old enough to understand her rowdy play! Ginger needs some obedience training, but is smart and eager to learn. This cutie deserves a second chance, could it be with you and your family?

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.
