Three Members of Chicago Area DotNetNuke Users Group to Speak at Conference

The Chicago Area DotNetNuke Users Group is pleased to announce that three of its members will be speakers at the Day of DotNetNuke conference to be held on Saturday, October 2 at Northern Illinois University-Naperville Campus.

Don Gingold and Jim Nagy of Sprocket Websites will present “A Successful Business on DotNetNuke Alone” in which they will discuss how free-lance graphic designers as well as those at studios and agencies can benefit by using the DotNetNuke framework to provide powerful back-end functions for client websites.

Phil Wegrzyn will offer a beginning developer session on how to extend DotNetNuke functionality. In “Understanding the Various Ways to Implement Custom Functionality in DNN”,

Wegrzyn discusses how to implement advanced functionality and highlight some of the tools within the DotNetNuke community that are available to simplify the process.

The Chicago Area DotNetNuke Users Group meets monthly in Downers Grove for networking and ongoing collaboration among DotNetNuke professionals. Pizza and pop at each meeting is sponsored by PowerDNN and visitors are welcome at all times.

This will be the first Day of DotNetNuke held in Chicago. Aligning with the founders’ mission statement, there is no fee to attend and learn more about this platform. The event will be held on Saturday, October 2 at Northern Illinois University-Naperville Campus from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. Attendees choose educational sessions from multiple tracks and visit the mini-expo of sponsors’ booths throughout the day.
