WHAT:
On the ninth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the Naperville Exchange Club is sponsoring the September 11 remembrance at the Cmdr. Dan Shanower Memorial. Chuck Wehrli, a lifelong Naperville resident and retired captain of the Naperville Fire Department, will be the guest speaker. Wehrli, along with Naperville Fire Department Firefighter/Paramedic Dave Walters, traveled to New York and worked at Ground Zero with the urban search and rescue teams. Wehrli will share his experience as a Naperville firefighter and the time he spent at Ground Zero.

Cmdr. Dan Shanower Memorial along the Riverwalk behind the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. In case of rain, the event will take place inside Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center.
