An alternate parade route will be in effect for the 2010 Labor Day Parade and Fling Mile on Monday, September 6, 2010. The Fling Mile will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by the parade starting at 10 a.m.

The run and parade will begin on Hillside Road and then head north on Webster Street to Aurora Avenue. It will continue east on Aurora Avenue to Main Street, head north on Main Street, and then turn west on Jefferson Avenue and go north on Webster Street. The parade will end at the intersection of Webster Street and Spring Avenue.

Parade Safety Tips
Following are a few safety tips to ensure that parade spectators have a fun and safe parade experience:

• Be sure to keep children a safe distance from parade floats and other participants.
• Dress your children all alike in bright colors so they are easier to spot in a crowd.
• Dress for the weather. Be sure to bring sunscreen, insect repellant and water.
