The Chicago Area DotNetNuke Users Group has joined forces with the St. Louis User Group to hold the first Day of DotNetNuke in Chicagoland on Saturday, October 2 at the Northern Illinois University – Naperville Campus.

Programmers, developers and users are invited to share their experience and knowledge as well as network with other DotNetNuke community members. Attendees can choose sessions on topics such as Design, Mobile applications, Administration and Development. The Call for Speakers speakers is now open and DNN experts, especially in the Chicago area are invited to submit their proposals for topics related to the DotNetNuke web application framework.

The first Day of DotNetNuke was held in Tampa in 2009, based on a concept by Will Strohl who is currently a sales engineer for DotNetNuke Corporation. The event’s charter dictates that the Day be a free event to serve those who are interested in learning about DotNetNuke , the world’s largest .NET-based Open Source web framework.

The Chicago Area DotNetNuke Users Group was founded by Jim Nagy and Don Gingold of Sprocket Websites in Naperville. Gingold and Nagy are organizing this event in a joint effort with Cuong Dang and Ian Robinson of R2integrated in St. Louis, along with other volunteers from the Midwest region.
