Conor Ataya, 18, has worked as a busboy at Flight Restaurant & Wine Bar in The Glen Town Center for a year. He graduated from Glenbrook South High School in May, and he will attend Indiana University in Bloomington in the fall to study informatics. He hopes to get a job in technology after college. He has a 15-year-old sister, and he grew up in and lives in Glenview.

Q: How do you like working at Flight Restaurant & Wine Bar?

A: It’s a pretty good for a job at my age. The service industry is something everyone should experience.

Q: What did you want to be growing up?

A: When I was really young, I wanted to be a baseball player.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?

A: I work on cars, and I like anything and everything music.

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A: Japan. My dad’s side of the family is from there, and we haven’t visited there yet.

Q: Who do you look up to?

A: My dad. He’s been a role model for me.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?

A: I don’t remember exactly when this happened, but there was a huge storm and the streets flooded. Everyone in our neighborhood was outside because there was three feet of water, and we were messing around.

Q: If you had an unexpected day off, how would you spend it?

A: I’d spend time with friends however possible, whether its staying here or going somewhere.
