Racist word written on door, and more

The following items were taken from Naperville police records Jan. 27.

Damage

  • A racist word was written on a front door in the 700 block of Royal St. George Drive between 10 p.m. Jan. 22 and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 23.
  • A mailbox was damaged in the 2100 block of Riverlea Circle between 7 p.m. Jan. 22 and 6:40 a.m. Jan. 23.
  • The window of a Toyota Tacoma was shattered in the 1400 block of West Ogden Avenue between 6 p.m. Jan. 21 and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 23. Damage is estimated at $100.
  • A vehicle was keyed in the 700 block of Royal St. George about 4:59 p.m. Jan. 23.
  • A 33-year-old man from the 400 block of Buckley Road, Lisle, was arrested about 10:52 a.m. Jan. 24 at West Diehl Road and North Route 59 and charged with criminal damage to state property.
  • Tire valve cores were removed fro the rear tires of a vehicle on the fourth floor of the Van Buren parking garage between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 and 10:20 a.m. Jan. 25.
  • A vehicle was damaged while in the parking lot at Olive Garden in the 600 block of South Route 59 between 11:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 25.
  • A property management office door in the 100 block of Testa Drive was damaged between 4:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and 10:10 a.m. Jan. 26.

Drugs

  • An 18-year-old man from the 3800 block of Grassmere Road and a 17-year-old man from the 2800 block of Stonewater Drive were arrested just after 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at Cedar Glad Drive and 95th Street. The 18-year-old was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 17-year-old was charged with possession of a controlled substance and not wearing a seat belt.
  • A 22-year-old man from the 800 block of Tulip Lane was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at his home and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
  • A 27-year-old man from the 1500 block of Heatherton Court was arrested about 6:31 p.m. Jan. 25 at his home and charged with possession of cannabis. He also had an outstanding warrant.
  • A 22-year-old man from the 1600 block of Killdeer Drive was arrested about 5:11 p.m. Jan. 25 at his home and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A 20-year-old man from the 2300 block of Shenandoah, Aurora, was arrested about 9:42 p.m. Jan. 26 in at Liberty Street and South Route 59 and issued tickets for possession of cannabis and a taillight violation.

Theft

  • Two Bobcat loaders were stolen from a parking lot in the 2500 block of West 75th Street between 11:30 am. Jan. 25 and 6 a.m. Jan. 26. The loaders were valued at $2,000.
  • Several people attempted to steal items in the 200 block of South Route 59 about 1:45 p.m. Jan. 26 but returned them when confronted.

Possession of stolen property

  • A 38-year-old woman from the 2900 block of Woodside Drive, Joliet, was arrested about 12:44 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 700 block of Fort Hill Drive and charged with possession of stolen property.

Harassment

  • A 28-year-old man from the 1000 block of Foxworth Boulevard, Lombard, was arrested about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 26 and charged with three counts of harassment/electronic communication.

Forgery

  • A 23-year-old man from the 2700 block of Caroline Drive, Homewood, was arrested about 3:10 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue and charged with forgery and identity theft.

Fighting

  • A 40-year-old man from the 10300 block of Galena Road, Bristol, was arrested about 9:26 p.m. Jan. 24 in the 1500 block of Bond Street and charged with fighting.

Disorderly conduct

  • Someone discharged a pellet gun in the 1200 block of Banbury Circle about 9:52 p.m. Jan. 23. There were no injuries or damage.

DUI

  • A 57-year-old man from the 2000 block of Springside Drive was arrested about 6:49 p.m. Jan. 23 at his home and charged with DUI.
  • A 61-year-old man from the 800 block of Appomattox Circle was arrested about 6:26 p.m. Jan. 24 at Mill Street and Spring Avenue and charged with DUI and failure to yield when turning left.
