Knoch Knolls Park burned by brush fire

A small fire at Knoch Knolls Park earlier this week was reported by a pilot passing overhead, Naperville Park District Officials said.

The fire, which occurred around 5 p.m. Monday, burned about one-quarter acre of park land, about 100 yards from a bike trail, according to a park district press release. The cause of the fire had not been determined as of Wednesday, the release said.

The district said no additional damage occurred at the park, and the fire acted similarly to a controlled burn regularly conducted by the district.
