Fremont elementary students are harvesting vegetables from the school’s courtyard garden. Their teachers planted the garden last spring and tended it all summer. This spring, the students will get involved in the planting. It’s part of a project to teach youngsters how food is grown and harvested, to get them closer to the earth and understand the origin of the food they eat.
