Library Hosts 2nd Annual Car Show and Craft Fair

Foreseeing the automobile's impact on American life, Carl G. Fisher was instrumental in the construction of the first transcontinental highway, the Lincoln Highway, from New York to San Francisco, in 1913.

Foreseeing the automobile's impact on American life, Carl G. Fisher was instrumental in the construction of the first transcontinental highway, the Lincoln Highway, from New York to San Francisco, in 1913.

The Second Annual Lincoln Highway Car Show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, August
28, at the Matteson Public Library. The Matteson Library is located at the corner of 207th and School in Matteson, IL 60443. This year we are featuring cars before 1980. The show commemorates the 98th anniversary of the United States first transcontinental highway.

In addition to the cars, crafters will be on our patio selling a variety of goods. Products from Avon, handcrafted item to Tastefully Simple are just some of the selection. The judging will run from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Matteson businesses contributing to the show include the Matteson Auto Mall, South Oak Dodge , and PeachTree Café .

Admission to the show is free.
