Rash of Burglaries: I’m glad to hear the Downers Grove police seem to be on top of these burglaries. Wheaton, until recently, has had many burglaries all centralized in certain areas in different weeks. Many used a similar manner to get in. Homes were accessed through open windows, unlocked doors and eventually kicking in doors. They entered after the kids went to school and before many moms returned from their morning errands (9-11am). Some attempts were in the early morning hours while people were asleep in their beds. I’m wondering if many of these are connected and the burglars are moving from town to town to remain undetected.
