In 4 days not one cop drove past that trailer? That says a lot for the safety of that neighborhood.

I am constantly amazed at the shortsightedness of the Naperville commissioners. There are two wind turbines on McCoy/5th Ave in Aurora that are used to power the traffic lights and to the best of my knowledge there has not been one accident in the area because of someone rubbernecking.
The way I figure it, Bruno is not going to get any kickbacks from the installation or the power company so he is immediately against it and has to come up with silly (read: stupid) reasons to be against it.
As for his so-called rubberneckers, how about figuring out a way to keep kids from texting while driving instead.
All they are doing is keeping Morin from helping to do his part to green up his small piece of Naperville.

Dainon, I applaud the officer for doing his job and being aware that something was possibly wrong, but to make that statement was wrong.
I am the first one to call someone out for parking in a handicapped space without a permit or plate so I appreciate that he arrested her for breaking the law. I just don’t like what he said about why he thought he needed to.

“He figured at 2 a.m. would be out of the realm of possibility that someone handicapped would still be out,”.
Why would he think that a handicapped person would not be out at 2am? Do handicapped people have a curfew in Naperville that they don’t have anywhere else in the country?
It sounds like this officer needs a refresher course in sensitivity training.

While these statistics are good and the intersections that they added red light cameras are safer, what about adding them at the one intersection that really needs them? I am talking about the Rt 59 and Ogden Ave. intersection.
It is ridiculous how many people simply ignore the red light when they are trying to make a left turn or refuse to stop when the light actually changes. The light could be red for 3-5 seconds and still cars are entering the intersection, blocking traffic from moving in the other direction. It is as if they think that the light is not meant for them.
Many times I have watched and waited for 3 or 4 cycles of the light to simply get across Rt 59 because of the people who drive through or into the intersection on a red and the cars from the alternate direction have no where to go.
There are also those drivers who enter the intersection when the traffic is backed up in front of them due to the lights farther down the street. Now, no one can go anywhere and all traffic has stopped until they get out of the way.
Red light cameras might help eliminate this behavior so why has no one talked about adding them here?

If he spent just half of his energy trying to build a new business all this crap would be over. He has become a joke to everyone in Naperville. He blames everyone but himself for his lot in life. It is time for him to grow up and move on with what is left of his life.

Want to place a bet on how long it takes for the mothers of these three juvenile delinquents to claim that their darling little children didn’t really do it and that it was really the other boy who tried to rob all three of them.
Throw all three of them in the county lockup for a week and then see if they ever want to commit another crime. Better yet, toss the useless parents in there with them.

prefont, are you out of your freaking mind? Do you not read the papers or watch TV? I can count at least 5 instances of people leaving kids in their cars this summer alone and the results are always that they are arrested. Not only it is illegal, it is stupid and dangerous. This idiot left the windows down 1/2 way? I could remove that child from that car in about 10 seconds and be gone before anyone noticed. Would you leave your wallet or phone in an unlocked, windows open car? Then why would you ever leave a child? As for him being present in his kids life. He wouldn’t be if someone decided to snatch him. Then what would you have said?
