Trib Local is clearly a Chicago Tribune endeavor. As such how can the Tribune condone posting anything from anyone without validation of facts. I have seen many articles posted by people with specific agendas that appear to the average reader as “news” or informative articles of which they are neither.
The problem is compounded becuase you have real reporters posting stories as well as anyones else. If you don’t read the by line carefully you don’t know which is from the Tribune and which is not.
There is a huge difference between a clearly identified blog where you assume it is bias in some way and a newspaper which is suppose to be unbias and report the news. By endorsing this format the Tribune has damaged its credibility as a fair and accurate news source.
