I don’t spend a nickel in communities with red light cameras. From my point of view, since they’ve found a revenue stream, they certainly don’t need me spending my hard-earned dollars there. I’d rather spend my money in communities without a “gotcha” mentality to fill village coffers.

I stay off Main Street (and Westmore) since Lombard became “AmbushTown.” More than any other community in the area – with all the cops sitting along those 2 roads all day and the red light cameras looking for those “gotcha” opportunities, Lombard has made it clear that the town has found its revenue streams, and therefore it doesn’t me spending my dollars within the community. And so I don’t.

ManorCare is HORRIBLE. My mother was there for 3 miserable weeks after surgery and couldn’t wait to get out of there. What’s scary is that there’s even worse places in the area.

So the big-government hating Republicans of Wheaton (and make no mistake, Wheaton’s as Republican as it gets) who are so opposed to government regulation want to CREATE regulations to solve a problem they’re not even having?? The people so opposed to government handouts but believe in individual charity want to put restrictions on charity? Does the board not have enough to do, no *real* problems to solve, or are they just trying to justify a salary? This is ridiculous!
