This is obviously a puppet committee. Let’s stop looking at additional revenue and start looking at cutting headcount, programs and the scope of city government.
Elgin is dying on the vine and additional taxes and fees will only compound the problem.
Get back to basics and stop talking increases.

I think it’s great these boys are trying to turn their lives around.
But let’s give it five years or so and see how firm their resolve really is.
The judge will review their character and act accordingly.
As the story stands, people could easily manipulate the system in the name of religion and defeat the purpose of the lawsuit.

Wow, they found a 25mm pistol and a 357mm revolver in the house.
That’s some serious weaponry, or some lousy reporting.
A 25mm shell would be just shy of 1 inch in diameter and a 357mm would be 14 inches!

These are two liberals with very little difference between them. We face a public employee crisis, an illegal alien crisis and these two have a philosophy that throwing money at any problem (especially GRANT MONEY) will solve anything.
