Plenty of Hollywood movies come out on Christmas day. Now, many of the directors and studio mgmt are Jewish. Do you hear Christians complaining the fact that entertainment occurs on a most important holy day?? No, you don’t. Get over yourselves.

Re the comment. “You wouldn’t hold it on anyone else’s religious holiday”, I do think OP would have no qualms about holding an event on Diwali or Ramadan. I can understand why Jews feel singled out, given their history, but I sincerely feel that this date for Oaktoberfest is acceptable. There really ARE limited times available for a fall fest.
