That is an inaccurate statement. 90% of Elgin’s students are NOT unevolved ghetto welfare cases. You should really stop generalizing our children just because we live in Elgin. We own our home, as do many other people in our neighborhood and work hard to pay our taxes. So, what makes you think that your kid deserves a better opportunity than mine!?!?!?! All children deserve the same rights in this country, and that includes the right to a good education. The bottom line is that you and everyone else at the schools that were offered to us to transfer our kids to, can complain all you want, but it isn’t going to change. I would appreciate it if you would not refer to my children and the children at our school as “riff-raff.” Keep your rude, disrespectful comments to yourself….you are talking about CHILDREN!!!!!

As a parent of a student at Highland, I do not appreciate my children being referred to this way. The children in Barlett and the children at these 11 schools all deserve the same opportunity to have an education. What is wrong with giving them all the same opportunities?!?
