Higher taxes why should I expect anything different living here in over taxed Oak Park ! The schools should have been forced to make the hard cuts that all us tax payers are forced to do each day, how about the district stop the Spainish language program that takes away from teaching Reading Writing and Math, and why is the district paying an art teacher 130+K a year, to teach art to K through 6th grade studentd ? There is a lot of programs that could have been cut without hurting the education our children would receive.

Just vote no, I live in Oak Park since 1990, we are taxed to much already, its time for all to tightened their belts not just us tax payers. VOTE NO !

Where can I get a vote NO sign for my lawn for the proposed Tax Rate increase for District 97 ? Enough with the tax increases, time to start cutting the spending, I live across from Irving and would love a “NO” tax increase sign for my yard. Post here and I’ll be glad to pick up the signs for myself and some neighbors who feel the same way.

We still all need to vote NO on the tax increase the village will ask for on April 5th, We are taxed to much this increase must not pass. Talk to your neighbors, hopefully the word will get out to vote NO April 5th on the propsed tax increase.

We are tax to much already, I would urge people to vote no, on this referendum. It is time for Oak Park to start cutting budgets not increasing the tax burden on its residents.

Parking is at a premium and these clowns want to tear down a garage and loose 140 parking spots that bring in revenue ? Instead of spending 125K for repairs thay want to spend 450K to demolish ? What about the lost revenue from having less parking spots ? So the increse’s they propose would what keep us even ? I live in Oak Park and sometimes the stuff our officials come up with makes no sense. I’m sure they will find a way to increase costs and deliver less service !

I live in Oak Park (21 years), What happened to the “Seperation of Church and State ” ? Get over yourselves, I thought is was silly that the Jewish Community of Oak park was upset last year over the first home night football game in OPRFHS history. Again “Seperation of Church and State” You can celebrate your hloidays whenever you want just lile all the other religons in the Oak Park but that gives no religon the right to tell the village when they can hold a festival.
