The downturn in the economy has an impact that goes beyond our homes and our schools. The local chapter of the Manhattan Cub Scouts, Pack 155, is also feeling the effects of the economic downturn. Lack of funds to support the Cub Scout program in Manhattan, jeopardize the ability to continue this valuable development program for Manhattan boys in first through fifth grades.
On Saturday, 9/11/2010, at Wilson Creek School, the Cub Scouts (in conjunction with the Manhattan Fire Department and the American Legion) will be having a Pancake breakfast. At 8:00 AM, the Cub Scouts, representatives from the Manhattan Fire Department and the American Legion will be conducting a flag ceremony in the school, in honor of all the military, fireman and other heroes that serve our country and local communities everyday. The fire department will be displaying a fire truck and ambulance allowing children to view and tour the truck and ask questions.
From 8:00 til 11:00 AM Pancake breakfast will be served! The cost is $5.00 for Adults, $3 for children ages 3-12, an no cost for children up to age 3 with a paying adult. The pancakes are all you can eat and include your choice of juice, milk or coffee.
Please plan on attending at:
