Kiwanis Has It In The Bag!

During their recent Kiwanis After Dark meeting, the members of the Kiwanis Club of Lombard participated in a service project that involved added the cords used to close cloth school bags sewn by volunteers from Beacon Hill in Lombard. Some of the sewers even attended the "After Dark: and lent a hand in the completion process.

Later in the month, the SeaSpar Aktion Club, a group for challenged adults that the Lombard Kiwanis Club sponsors will form an assembly line and fill each bag with notebooks, pencils, a ruler, and an eraser. Then Kiwanis and Aktion Club members will deliver the bags to Ten Thousand Villages Stores located in Glen Ellyn. Store personnel will forward the bags to children in either Asia, Africa, Latin America or the Middle East
