CHICAGO – September 21, 2011 – Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford has chosen the Hickory Ridge Marriot Conference Center in Lisle as the site to host the launch of a series of Smart Money financial education seminars that will be held throughout Illinois.

The free seminars are designed to help people learn new skills and techniques to navigate today’s economic landscape. They will include presentations on managing household credit and budgeting while offering great networking opportunities.

“I hope people can find time to take advantage of this unique opportunity. In today’s economy, this Smart Money seminar could be very useful for budgeting household finances,” stated Rutherford who will be the featured speaker at the seminar.

The complimentary seminar will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Hickory Ridge Marriott Conference Hotel, 1195 Summerhill Drive in Lisle.
