On January 27, more than 100 Chicago-area girls participated in Tech Girls Rock, an all-day workshop hosted by the Lisle office of CA Technologies and the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago. The event took place at the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club and included interactive science and math events to help encourage girls to explore a future in technology.

The two-year, multi-city Tech Girls Rock initiative aims to help young women discover and cultivate an interest in technology through innovative and inspiring workshops, programs and mentoring. The five-city tour, which launched in New York last month, will also hit Boston, San Francisco and Plano, with a goal of reaching more than 1,000 young women across the country.
