The Bulls/Sox Training Academy announced that they will be hosting an Exergaming session for kids. In Exergaming 101 participants will be competing against themselves and others while doing games that focus on movement, reaction time, climbing, and quickness. The Exergaming 101 session will be held at the Bulls/Sox Academy, located at 6200 Riverbend Drive in Lisle.
Exergaming fitness is a radical and hi-tech approach to tackling the childhood obesity epidemic through THE VAULT powered by Motion Fitness. The class will consist of 40 minutes of structured gaming followed by 20 minutes of free play.
THE VAULT is the most unique exercise and gaming experience in America. The overall vision is to make a positive difference in the lives of today’s generation and generations to come. Exergaming is a term used for video games that also provide exercise. The interactive games have one element of exercise and one element of gaming. Basically, it is where video games meet sport.
Exergaming 101 is available for kids ages 7 to 14. The class is every Monday and Wednesday beginning Monday, February 6th and going through Wednesday, February 29th. The class goes for one hour beginning at 5:30 pm. The cost is just $64 per participant.
The Chicago Bulls/Sox Training Academy opened in 2001 in Lisle, Illinois and runs extensive training programs for boys and girls from beginner to professional. There are additional satellite academies in Glen Ellyn, LaGrange, Tinley Park and Schererville, IN.
