Riverside Foundation Benefit Gala is February 25

The Riverside Foundation will hold its annual benefit gala on Saturday, February 25 from 6:30 p.m. until midnight at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort. Riverside Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides intellectually and developmentally disabled adults with the highest standard of care and a meaningful life experience through its residential facility in Lincolnshire and its work/activity center in Vernon Hills.

The black-tie optional evening begins with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, followed by dinner, dancing, live auction and more in the Marriott Lincolnshire's new Grand Marquee Pavilion. Music will be performed by Maggie Speaks. Award-winning WSCR "The Score" sports talk personality, Dan Bernstein, co-host of "Boers and Bernstein," will act as master of ceremonies.

The theme this year is A Midwinter Night’s Dream. “The Riverside Board and Auxiliary chose this theme not only because it reflects some of the dream packages in our auction, but also because our goal through this event is to raise funds to fulfill the dreams of Riverside clients,” said Karen Bruns, president of the Riverside Auxiliary, a charitable volunteer organization that supports the welfare of the foundation and its residents. Auxiliary members Jenny Goldstein, Rindy Hallarman and Jill Raizin (Lincolnshire) are co-chairs of this year’s gala.

Pete Mulé, who retired this year as Executive Director of Riverside, will be honored with the Distinguished Service Award for his 38 years of work as a champion for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Baxter Credit Union is corporate champion of the gala.

Gala tickets are $200 per person. Tickets may be purchased online at riversidefoundation.net.For more information, call Riverside Foundation at 847.634.3973.
