Aida Bearnod and Denise Dale are the new Director of Nursing and Administrator at Renaissance Gardens at Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire.

Aida Bearnod and Denise Dale are the new Director of Nursing and Administrator at Renaissance Gardens at Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire.

Sedgebrook Executive Director Ian Lee Brown has announced Denise Dale, R.N., as Administrator and Aida Bearnod, R.N., as Director of Nursing for Renaissance Gardens, the extended care neighborhood at the retirement community in Lincolnshire.

Renaissance Gardens opened in June 2009 and offers respite care, short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, dementia care and long-term care.

Dale joined the Renaissance Gardens team in 2009 as Director of Nursing. She previously has worked as a nursing home administrator, director and assistant director of nursing, health care administrator and rehabilitation nurse.

She earned her nursing degree from Iowa Central University and is an Illinois-certified rehabilitation nurse. Dale credits her interest in senior health beginning when she worked as a teenager as a dietary aide in a nursing home.

Bearnod has worked in long-term care for 16 of her 19-year tenure as a registered nurse. Most recently, she was an MDS/CP coordinator for a continuing care center in Lindenhurst. She also has worked in home health care, acute inpatient rehabilitation and medical-surgical units.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Central Philippine University. Prior to coming to the U.S. in 1994, she taught nurses and newly graduated nursing students to prepare for their licensure examination in the Philippines.

“The most important goal for our Renaissance Gardens team is to provide exceptional, person-centered rehabilitative and long-term care,” Brown said. “For Denise, Aida and all of our talented, experienced and enthusiastic professional team, it’s all about ensuring great days for the men and women who have chosen Renaissance Gardens.”
