SUMMARY:Auditions for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella
DESCRIPTION;CHARSET=UTF-8:This show is based on the 1997 television movie which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. Auditions are by appointment only, and are for performers 8 years and older. Participants will be required to prepare 16-32 bars of music. The selected piece should be a song similar to the style of the show, preferably a piece from the show or classic Broadway pieces; no pop songs, please. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring music in the key you will be singing or an accompaniment tape or CD. The preliminary auditions will involve singing, dancing and cold readings. Those who are unsure how to prepare a piece for the audition should attend the audition workshop on September 8th at 6:30 pm at the Robert W. Rolek Community Center. Note: This production will be cast age-appropriately. Children will only be considered for roles capable of being played by children. Callbacks for principle rolls and featured dancers will be September 15 at 6:30 pm at the Robert W. Rolek Community Center. Performance dates will be December 10 & 11 at 7:30 pm and December 11 & 12 at 2:00 pm at the Round Lake High School Theatre. The location is tentative.
