On Sunday, June 27th you can take the family out to eat and help homeless animals at the same time as Egg Harbor hosts Heartland Animal Shelter for a Dog-Gone Good Dining Club event all day long. From 10 am until 1 pm, spend some time in the patio area outside Egg Harbor to meet some of the animals available for adoption and learn about volunteer opportunities at the shelter. Heartland is a no-kill, non-profit located at 2975 Milwaukee Avenue in Northbrook. Last year, the shelter found homes for nearly 1,100 dogs and cats.
