Run with the American Cancer Society and raise money for the fight against cancer
Local athletes who have made a new year’s resolution to get into shape will have the opportunity to save lives from cancer while participating in upcoming endurance events by joining the American Cancer Society DetermiNation team.
Whether a first-time competitor or a seasoned athlete, DetermiNation participants can meet the personal challenge of endurance events such as an 8k, 10 mile, half-marathon or marathon with access to free professional training, an unparalleled community of support and inspiration every step of the way.
To learn more, attend an information session on Wednesday, March 7 at 6:30 pm at Runner’s Edge (111 East Cook Avenue, Libertyville).
American Cancer Society DetermiNation athletes help raise much-needed dollars to fund free services for those fighting cancer, discovery of new treatments and ultimately, cures.
In addition to the fulfillment of raising funds for the fight against cancer, DetermiNation participants also enjoy exclusive training and day-of-race benefits. These benefits include free team training to help achieve race goals, mentors for fundraising success and inspiration, invitations to social events, race-weekend VIP amenities (including gear check, private bathrooms, coaches along every mile of the race and much more), an exclusive DetermiNation racing singlet and a personal website to aid with fundraising.
